This is one of our oldest courses. We originally developed our studio cycling course for British Triathlon and trained hundreds of their coaches nationally. This course is perfect if you want to teach studio cycling.

Learners will cover:

  • Relevant anatomy and physiology
  • Setting up a bike correctly
  • Demonstrating and teaching basic techniques
  • Demonstrating, teaching and using Advanced drills
  • Planning a class
  • Using music correctly
  • Teaching a class effectively
  • Adapting to meet the needs of your class

On completion of the course, we even give you a class plan and a free playlist with licence free music so that you can hit the floor running!

Our course has such a high reputation that we have been contracted with a number of large gym providers to train their students including Fitness First, ROKO, David Lloyd and Nuffield Health.

Entry Requirements
Anyone over the age of 16 year is eligable to book on to the course. Ideally it is recommended that you must have completed your Level 2 Fitness Instructor. If you have not completed this qualification; you can book the two together through our Career Package page. If you come from a slightly different career pathway- do send us a message so we can discuss your case!

You will be supported throughout the course by your dedicated educational supervisor. We also provide shadowing and team teaching opportunities as extra to all our students to improve their confidence!

In this short module we discuss how to get the most out of the course and what you need to do!

In this module we discuss the history of studio cycling. The reason behind the popularity, its key marketing points and benefits.

We believe that our students should understand the theory well. This will allow them to design a class that is scientifically sound and more likely to be effective. We also discuss injury prevention.

Good bike set up is key to getting the most out of your clients and class participants as well as to reduce the risk of injury. Learn from our tutors who have studied post graduate biomechanics and our tutors who deliver bike set up services professionally.

We know this can be a weakness of a short course with many instructors wanting to be more confident at planning. This is why we run a 2 day course which includes teaching and assessment on how to plan a class. Our students are confident choosing the right drills, resistance and music to suit!

Delivering can be daunting initially but many of us also love the thrill of delivering a great class and the feedback we get. Each of our tutors have more than 15 years experience and together they will help you coach and deliver your class confidently and effectively and teach you all the tricks of the trade!

In this module we discuss how to get work in gyms, teaching classes, we look at case studies for setting up your own cycling studio, we look at case studies and ideas to make your classes unique and we discuss the minefield that is music licencing and make it clear. We also provide you with a complimentary studio cycling playlist and class plan to get you started!
