This qualification is aimed at level 3 qualified fitness instructors, personal trainers and exercise referral instructors and focuses on how to manage lower back pain using exercise. You will be taught by a medical doctor or a physiotherapist making our course extremely unique.
It evaluates the myths and truths surrounding back pain and provides a series of scientifically supported answers to tackle the problem.
Students learn via 2 face to face days and some great interactive online resources, virtual lectures and videos designed by our team of medical doctors!

- Treatments
- Exercise prescription

In this short module we discuss how to get the most out of the course and what you need to do!
Here we look in detail at the anatomy of the spine. Good understanding of the anatomy makes everything else easy! Our knowledgeable doctors and physios will teach you everything you need in an easy to understand manner.
Learn all about pain; what is it? what causes it? The science behind pain is a fascinating and rapidly changing area and we discuss all the key aspects.
In this module we look at all the key causes of back pain. What causes them? How are they treated? And much more!
In this module we will look at medical and fitness testing as well as key aspect of the consultation that need to be changed and adapted for this group of clients. We also teach you key examination techniques of the spine.
Here we look at the key considerations for exercise programming and delivery in this group.
Here we look at the latest research and evidence in back pain management. We update this module annually in line with new research.
